At Oxen.ai, we believe that anyone can build AI. Anyone from a high school student to a top researcher at an AI lab should be able to contribute to artificial intelligence. We aim to empower developers and researchers to train their own powerful models on unique and proprietary datasets. Since the best AI always starts with the data, we are dedicated to building the best developer tooling for iterating, tracking, and collaborating on the datasets that feeds modern AI.
Why Do We Believe This?
AI will integrate into every way we interact with technology and the world. Being such a powerful force, AI should not be controlled by the few but decentralized and democratized for all. AI is constantly trained on data that we produce, therefore, individuals must be empowered to build, collaborate over, and use AI through empowering tools.
Just as humans are shaped by both nature and nurture, AI is shaped by foundational models—built on years of research into architectures, evolving weights, and data. We, as individuals, play a role in nurturing it or fine-tuning it toward its final form. The more eyes on the data and the more voices in the room, the better the outcome.
What is Oxen.ai?
Oxen.ai is a platform for customizing models on your own datasets. It is built on top of open-source data and model collaboration tools. At its core, Oxen.ai is powered by the world's fastest data version control tool for large datasets and model weights. The Oxen Hub was built on top of this core infrastructure to enable easy training of models given your own data. Our goal is to empower anyone, weekend hacker or Fortune 500 company, to contribute to Artificial General Intelligence in their own way. We are also dedicated to teaching the community about the latest and greatest in AI through our ArXiv Dives.
